Our thanks go to Richard & Simon from Ravensbay for setting up our online booking system, I think you will agree it looks like it has always been part of the website. If you need a bespoke booking system for your business then give the guys a call.

You can now find the courses we are running at the bottom of the drop down menus for every course grouping, for a few months ahead, but if the date you are looking for is not showing then send us an email or call us to see if we can run one on the dates you want.

So why not jump online and book one of our excellent courses, run by instructors who love what they do!

First course of the season underway….

Filed under: Sailing Courses — brixhamseaschool @ 10:56 pm

And it’s go, go, go!!!! first course of the season is underway. Steve welcomed our budding Coastal skipper students on friday evening aboard our lovely Oceanis 411 2Zig Zag” the 9 day course includes the theory and practical.  The weather has been ok ish for a couple of days but today left a little to be desired…… have a look at the wind log below.

Zig Zag has been flying in the 12kn breeze the other day, sailing to windward she reached 6kn, not bad for a 12 ton boat, obviously the new antifouling is as slippy as we thought it would be!

Will keep you all up to date to progress as I get the reports.

Online booking coming soon…..

To make booking your courses with us we will be rolling out our online booking system over the next few weeks.  We will be adding all of our STCW 95, RYA Shorebased and RYA Practical course to the system, some of our additional courses will also be available to book online also.

You will of course still be able speak to us and arrange a course or a package if the courses available on the booking system do not suit what you are after. Once you have selected the course you wish to book you will be taken to our secure online payment page, payments are made through Paypal and will not add any fees to your booking.

We hope that this system makes booking with us easier for you, there may be the odd glitch in it while we are adding to the site so please bear with us.

The RYA has issued a statement regarding red diesel….

Filed under: General Blogs — brixhamseaschool @ 7:47 pm

The RYA has issued a statement to answer the statement made by HMRC.

RYA statement here.  It seems HMRC had got their info wrong when they issued the statement on the 20th February.  The only country we need to be aware of an issue is Belgium.
