The RNLI have produced a very useful book and CD which is free of charge, pick one up at the marina they are in the rack in the shower block at Brixham or drop into the office, there is all sorts of useful safety information there.

We are delighted to be running a VHF/SRC inc GMDSS course for the members of the Royal Dart Yacht Club tomorrow. Tim will be running the course and has got our portable VHF course kit with him.
With the cost of the new Class D DSC radio’s being as little as £65.00 many people have them fitted but don`t know how to use the DSC function. After several weeks of hard work Zig Zag is almost ready to go. After she has had her hull scraped and re keyed, she has had several coats of antifoul, her topsides polished and her sails checked and cleaned.
Steve has cleaned all the upholstery and she is looking beautiful. I will upload some pictures of her when I’m on my computer.
First course starts next saturday, a 9 day Coastal skipper combi course, there is still one space aboard if you fancy going to the next level in your qualifications.
