Wild Song delivered to Galmpton…..

Filed under: General Blogs — brixhamseaschool @ 11:29 pm

We were very pleased to be asked to deliver a beautiful Victoria 38 “Wild Song” for the owner to Dartside  quay for a lift and winter work.  having sailed a Victoria 34 before I was looking forward to taking out ‘Big Sister’ for a sail.

We were joined by Bones and Kate for the trip, the morning was clear with little wind but beautiful blue skies! Steve slipped her lines and we were clear of the pontoon.  We motored out of the fairway hoping for a little more breeze, alas not to be.  We motor sailed round berry head and headed off towards Eastern Blackstone a ripple in the water, spotted by Steve, revealed a small group of porpoise’s or dolphins rolling off the starboard bow, probably the last time we will see them this year as the water cools.

Reaching Blackstone a 8-10knot breeze filled in from the SW and we got all the sail up and off she went, scything through the water, as her smaller sister I had sailed before did, it was superb…. all to soon we had to take her into the Dart to get to the crane for the lift out.  Thanks Wild Song and I hope to sail you again one day, it was lovely.

If any of these courses are what you have been thinking of then please give us a call or if you are trying to think of a christmas present for your Skipper then why not buy them a voucher for the course of your choice.
