STCW 95 Basic Safety training combi course
This STCW 95 Basic training combination course consists of all four safety modules required to reach the required standard for working aboard Commercial vessels, this is a mandatory entry level safety course.
Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
The course gives basic induction training in safety procedures and accident prevention and familiarises new seafarers with employment and working conditions aboard. It is a classroom based course with practical elements.
Personal Survival Techniques This course will give the candidate knowledge of essential prevention and survival techniques. It includes both theoretical and practical sessions, investigating causes of distress, knowledge and use of equipment, launch and recovery of life raft, preparation for survival, personal survival skills, and use of search and rescue organisations.
Elementary First Aid
The course is a mixture of theory and practical sessions training basic first aid and life saving skills. In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This one-day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid.
Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention*
The course deals with the precautions to be taken to minimise the risk of fires aboard ship, the way in which fires are caused and the first means of extinguishing them. The courses includes practical training in the use of fire fighting equipment, and use of breathing apparatus for fire fighting and rescue.
5 days - Three days at our classroom in the centre of Brixham and two days at our industry partners in Plymton.
