Flotilla course
Gain the skills you need to be able to skipper a yacht on your flotilla or bareboat charter holiday.
Increasingly European and indeed most worldwide sail charter companies are setting their minimum requirements to be able to charter a yacht or join a flotilla to the RYA International Certificate of Competance, or ICC. You may have been bareboat chartering or flotilla sailing for years but are now being denied this because of this requirement!
We have been frequently contacted about this issue, so in response to your requests we have designed this sailing course to help you gain the ICC you require.
This course has been designed for the previous flotilla skipper or bareboat skipper who needs the ICC to reach different countries. It is NOT a replacement for the Day Skipper programme & is not for the complete beginner.
The course consists of 2 elements:
- Element One - Completion of the RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship course online or in the classroom
- Element Two - Two days of practical tuition to ICC standard
On successful completion of the two elements you will be awarded the RYA Essential Navigation & Safety certificate and an ICC*. If you are going to be cruising the French canals then you will also require the CEVNI test which is available through our Interactive portal HERE.
During your time on the boat you will live onboard and the price will include
- All bedding
-
Breakfast and lunch on both days, one evening meal
*Subject to successful completion of the required ICC test elements - Download the ICC requirements here ![]()
