RYA Start Sailing
RYA Start Yachting Practical Course
This RYA Start Yachting course is a two day and two night on board short introduction to sail cruising for novices. By the end of the course, participants will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board and will have completed the syllabus of the RYA start yachting course.
Under the careful tuition of an RYA fully qualified instructor, we only take a maximum of three students per boat. (Four if couples sharing double cabins).
Prices include Breakfast, Lunch, two course evening meals, refreshments throughout the day. any mooring or berthing fees and an RYA start yachting certificate on successful completion.
An RYA Sail Cruising scheme logbook is available for purchase separately.
(Holders of an RYA start yachting certificate can obtain a competent crew certificate by completing a further three days or two weekends of the competent crew course).
- Clean bedding provided (no sleeping bags required).
- Collection from train station can be arranged.
- Only best quality food available, where possible localy produced.
- Candidates completing courses that wish to take future courses qualify for a loyalty discount on future bookings.
- No cabin sharing (unless couples) cabin occupancy guaranteed no saloon berthing.
- A non returnable deposit is required on booking of 20% of the total cost.
- Full Payment must be recieved 14 days before course start date.
