RYA Day Skipper Theory and Practical combined “Master Class”
A comprehensive course covering 9 days and 9 nights on board taking you through the RYA day skipper theory and practical courses at the same time!
A great way to put theory straight into practice. This course will cover a comprehensive introduction to chart work, navigation, and meteorology as well as pilotage, seamanship and boat handling up to the standard required to skipper a small cruising yacht safely by day in tidal waters with which the student is familiar.
(suggested pre course experience 5 days sea time, 100 miles and 4 night hours).
Under the careful supervision of a RYA instructor. we only take a maximum of three students per boat. (Four if couples sharing double cabins).
Prices include Breakfast, Lunch, two course evening meals, refreshments throughout the day and any mooring or berthing fees. An RYA Log book if required. An RYA day skipper theory and day skipper practical training book, dividers, plotter and both certificates on successful completion. The course is classroom based for 4 days and on the water for 5 days.
An RYA Sail Cruising scheme logbook is available for purchase separately.
- Clean bedding provided (no sleeping bags required).
- Collection from train station can be arranged.
- Only best quality food available, where possible localy produced.
- Candidates completing courses that wish to take future courses qualify for a loyalty discount on future bookings.
- No cabin sharing (unless couples) cabin occupancy guaranteed no saloon berthing.
- A non returnable deposit is required on booking of 20% of the total cost.
- Full Payment must be recieved 14 days before course start date.
