RYA Coastal Skipper
This course designed by the RYA is a five day and five nights on board experience, the aim of which is to teach the skills and techniques required to skipper a cruising yacht safely on coastal and offshore passages by day and night.
(Suggested minimum pre course experience 15 days sea time (2 days as skipper), 300 miles and 8 night hours. Navigation to coastal skipper standard. And sailing to day skipper standard).
Under the careful supervision of a yacht master instructor. we only take a maximum of three students per boat. (Four if couples sharing double cabins).
Prices include Breakfast, Lunch, two course evening meals, refreshments throughout the day and any mooring or berthing fees. RYA certificate on successful completion.
An RYA Sail Cruising scheme logbook is available for purchase separately.
- Clean bedding provided (no sleeping bags required).
- Collection from train station can be arranged.
- Only best quality food available, where possible localy produced.
- Candidates completing courses that wish to take future courses qualify for a loyalty discount on future bookings.
- No cabin sharing (unless couples) cabin occupancy guaranteed no saloon berthing.
- A non returnable deposit is required on booking of 20% of the total cost.
- Full Payment must be recieved 14 days before course start date.
