RYA Day Skipper Practical
This RYA Day Skipper course is designed as a five day and five nights on board experience, to teach pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling up to the RYA Day Skipper standard required to take charge of a cruising yacht safely by day in tidal waters with which the student is familiar.
(suggested pre course experience 5 days sea time, 100 miles and 4 night hours).
During your Day Skipper course you will be under the careful supervision of a fully qualified RYA instructor, we only take a maximum of three students per boat. (Four if couples sharing double cabins).
Prices include Breakfast, Lunch, two course evening meals, refreshments throughout the day and any mooring or berthing fees. An RYA day skipper training book and a certificate on successful completion.
RYA Sail Cruising scheme logbooks are available for purchase separately.
- Clean bedding provided (no sleeping bags required).
- Collection from train station can be arranged.
- Only best quality food available, where possible localy produced.
- Candidates completing courses that wish to take future courses qualify for a loyalty discount on future bookings.
- No cabin sharing (unless couples) cabin occupancy guaranteed no saloon berthing.
- A non returnable deposit is required on booking of 20% of the total cost.
- Full Payment must be recieved 14 days before course start date.
For persons unable to complete the Day Skipper course in 5 consecutive days we may be able to offer it as a split weekend. Please contact us to discuss. Whole boat booking may be required.
